Lines

Lines are a set of word in a stanza
 
Example : Roses are Red, Violets are Blue


Signifigance: Lines are important of telling stories, many lines will make up a stanza, it also helps the reader rest at the end with comas, periods.

Speaker

Speaker- a person who speaks out a Orally speak out in a meeting, conference etc...
    Example- The Speaker is speaking out of public about Environmental Danger

Signifigance: a Speaker oraly reads a poem for everyone to follow, so it is easier to understand the poem petter

Stanza



Stanza
The Paragraph of a Poem

Example: (STANZA #1)
a good house of cards
will say up even when shake
               (STANZA #2)
Cards are also dart target
But they are playing Hard to get

Signifigance: Stanza is a Poem's Paragraph and it tells a small story in each, and it will tells a large story when they are all combined

Extended Metaphor

Extended Metaphor:
Metaphor that is extended through a stanza or entire poem.

Example: The bees are giant flying ant
               They work all day and night
                Going throught the plant
               Ant go during the morning for light
Signifigance: an Extended Metaphor helps us understanding a Poem with another story that is easier to understand, but it helps writers to make a better Poem

Personification

Personification
an imaginary person, object, creature figured to represent a thing.
Example: The pig named Napoleon represent for Stalin
Significance: Personification is helping a poem to create a better story, and can include more comedy during a poem and creativity.

Onomatopoeia

Onomatopoeia
a word that creates sound effects.

Example:
The Nitro and Fire mixed made a Big KABOOM

Signifigance: words like BANG,BOOM,SPLAT helps the reader knows what does it sound like in a Poem story

Simile

Simile
To compare something with another by using the word "like"

Example:
the moon is like a coin

Signifigance: Simile help the writer describe a scene or an object.

Metaphor Vocab

to directly saying something is something else.

Example:
Catching a fish is catching a cold

Signifigance:
Metaphor help describing the scene or the objects in a poem

Imagery:
To picture an Image in you mind with your imagination or us it to image what will happen if you do something. In peotry Imagery helps us to picture the situation or the scene of the Poem.

Example:
The swimmer Imagery of how he will dive down the pool

Significance:
Imagenry can help reader imagine and understand more about a Poem

Symbol
is a Word, Image, Logo that represent an Ethnic, Religion, Country, or Organization.

Example: The Star of David is a Symbol of the Jewish people.

Signifigance: The Symbols help others knowing what things are like Religion, Nationatlity or Ethnics

Poetry Vocab

Poetry is a way of literature to show a persons feeling out sentences, there are many different styles of poems and can also use to create rhythm to a song or lyrics to a song

I'm confused
and I don't really know when I get of the train which exit to use
Drives me insane they all look the same which one do I choose
My GPS is a big old mess and ruined my shoes
I tripped and fell on some trash and all the children laughed now I got a big bruise
What the heck did I do to deserve this abuse dang?

Significance: Poem helps expressing feeling and it is a work of literature art which can be use to write songs or turned into songs
